Does anyone out there have any ideas about how we can change the world, other than just hoping?

I am getting really very angry when I think about what is happening to our world and to the people in it, not to mention all of the living creatures, ( animals of all types, and all plant life, every body of water, every glacier, and every piece of land, not to mention the atmosphere). What is the point of our society? It almost seems to me like the thing that our country is trying to accomplish is to ruin everything as fast as possible. We were based upon the idea ( in the beginning) of free interprise, which was actually not bad, it was a self sustaining sytem, which began in the gleaming of raw materials(workers with a purpose), and then those things were turned into goods (more workers), which were then shipped to people all over the world(more workers), which were then sold to other people(more workers), who then bought the goods(more workers)people who work in other jobs, which have the same pattern. Before the industrial revolution, this was all good. Now it's gone to crapfixit!
