Son and toothpaste?

I have a 5 year old son who is autistic and Im having issues with brushing his teeth.... he doesnt like the texture or taste of toothpaste and wont brushg his teeth he just spits it back at you. I have tried every kind available and dont know what to do his teeth should be falling out soon and I want instill good brushing habits for his adult teeth. Help please???????????
