Hypothetically, if someone were to steal and get away with the "Mona Lisa", how much do you think?

Their gov't would shell out to get it back? There's never been a price put on it, but say someone had sent videos of them with the painting, and a shredder of some sort, threatening to destroy it unless they paid a ransom so to speak. How much money, do you think they would estimate it's net worth?
