Ipod Help Question. Look Down?

My Ipod Clic hasn't been showing up on Itunes side source bar/side pane. But, it has been showing up on Windows/My Computer. I found this site from Apple that tells step by step on how to fix this issue. I had a question about one step. the 3rd step, I think its the third step. It says delete and remove itunes from add/remove programs and stuff. 1st of all, here is that site right here: http://www.support.apple.com/kb/TS1363 .... If I do delete the Itunes program and the other things it says to remove/delete. Will it keep all of my songs and other media in it, or will I lose it all?? Or is there an easier way to do this? I have been suffering this problem for awhile now and I need a straight answer. Thanks so very much :)
