Can I build a shed completely from rough cut lumber?

If not, which parts must be pt'ed? Should I wait to stain the rough cut so itcan dry some first? I'm anxious to start building but I have 0 carpentry experience, so any advice from the experienced is appreciated greatly. The shed I want to build will 8' wide with double doors by 16' deep with lots of overhead storage room. Can I as a novice build this thing with great results considering I'm fully mechanically inclined? Thanks again
