Long time ago Gilbert O' Sullivan sang a song and I can't remember the name or words to it.?

I do remember that it was smooth, flowing song and I liked it back then. Does anyone remember it? Maybe if someone could name a few of his songs I would remember. I think he talked about God in his song too.
