Where in DC should I look for an apartment and roommates?

Around Capitol Hill and maybe Adams Morgan... they're nice areas and also the Cleveland Park area off of Connecticut Avenue. There are lots of nice places off of Connecticut Avenue leading into Maryland and I'm sure they're not as expensive as the places near downtown + the Mall.
