Why have a mosque near Ground Zero?

Muslims who worked in the Twin Towers died, that's why a mosque near ground zero is appropriate. Most Muslim countries are our allies in the war on terror. Mosques ARE allowed in the United States. Perhaps our example will encourage Muslim nations to be more tolerant of Christians and Jews.
